Workplace wellbeing relates to how workers feel about themselves and their work. At its heart, workplace wellbeing aims to ensure workers are safe, healthy, satisfied and engaged. It focuses on preventative action, to reduce the incidence of stress, injury and overwhelm.
Workplace wellbeing focuses on improving individual health to achieve organisational wellbeing. Employer sponsored initiatives, such as mental health programs, wellness activities, supportive HR policies and positive leadership, all play a role. Activities may include Employee Assistance Programs, yoga/meditation classes, exercise groups, flexible working arrangements, resilience training and healthy eating programs.
