Anyone can struggle with their mental health at any time. At Hunterlink, our qualified counsellors are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to support people when they need it.
Your tax-deductible donation to Hunterlink directly funds our 24/7 mental health helplines and suicide prevention services, workplace mental health programs and community support services for workers, seafarers, and their families.
Some of the ways your generosity helps others:
- Rehab support – Going into a rehab facility can be cost prohibitive, Hunterlink has assisted individuals before, during and afterwards so they can focus on themselves at this difficult time.
- Mental Health First Aid Training – Hunterlink’s team are fully qualified counsellors and donations help us to undertake further MHFA training to give back to our community and to train MHFA to others.
- International seafarer support – delivering free counselling to any seafarer reaching out for wellbeing support in Australian ports.
- Ongoing counselling sessions – Donations mean we’re able to provide extra face-to-face sessions and ongoing counselling so there is no financial barrier for reaching out for support.
- TAFE program – Hunterlink deliver the mental health component of MARF032 and MARF038 program at Newcastle TAFE to encourage greater awareness of psychosocial hazards in the maritime industry and the support that is available 24/7.
Hunterlink does not receive government funding. All funds received go directly to programs that deliver mental health services to encourage usage, reduce the stigma and financial barrier to reaching out and for programs that can support what is provided by our registered counsellors and mental health specialists.
